Division of Plastic, Reconstructive & Hand Surgery

The Division of Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery offers expert care across the entire spectrum of reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. Collaborative efforts with other divisions are unique and contribute to improved patient outcomes and increased educational opportunities. Cosmetic Surgery at University Pointe offers state-of-the-art skin care and cosmetic surgery in the operating rooms at the JCAHO-certified University Pointe Surgical Hospital.

In collaboration with other surgical specialties, the Division provides state-of-the-art care including breast reconstruction after mastectomy, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery following trauma, brachial plexus, weight loss, and complex wound management. The Division continues its collaborative effort with The Drake Center, Cincinnati’s primary rehabilitation hospital.

Cincinnati Plastic Surgery & Cincinnati Cosmetic Surgery

Cosmetic Surgery at University Pointe is a dedicated cosmetic surgery office in the suburban community of West Chester. This private practice setting provides a full range of advanced skin care, all types of facial cosmetic surgery, body contouring and breast procedures. Non-invasive procedures such as Fraxel® Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments are performed in the office and are alternatives for patients looking for a change with less downtime than after surgery.

The Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery residency was given full 5-year accreditation by the ACGME in January 2007. The Division continues to actively participate in Continuing Medical Education (CME) related to plastic surgery in our community.

Members of the Division are working on research projects concentrated on improving treatment of craniofacial deformities, major burns, scarring and aging skin changes.
